Midlands Wood Fuel was founded in 2003 in response to the need for a credible, professional and reliable wood fuel supply in the region. Our founder Ewan Bent, has worked in the renewable energy industry since 1994, and has promoted the use of wood fuelled heating in the Midlands since 1998.
Such efforts were recognised during the prestigious Ashden Awards ceremony where MWF received the 
Sustainable Energy Business Award at the 11th annual Ashden Awards June 2011, the world’s leading green energy awards. The Award is in recognition of the company’s achievement in supplying reliable, high-quality wood fuel in the Midlands and North West and helping provide a heating alternative to fossil fuels.

- One of the of the UK’s largest and longest established companies serving the renewable heating sector.
- We operate from twelve wood chip depots around the regions, giving coverage from Gloucestershire in the south to Lancashire in the north as well as Powys to the west.
We Offer:
All of our timber is sourced from sustainably managed sources within the West Midlands and North East, normally no more than 25 miles from each depot.
